Baby Girl Scrapbook

Here's my Baby Girl Scrapbook finally done. Took me a loong time...Over a month, but for a perfectionist like me, it wasn't enough...I still wished I had more time to make it a little bit better. Until I could convince myself that the pages were perfect, I kept tearing them down...3 pages were made and torn and re-made, and I thank God I did that, coz those turned out to be the best pages!!

And since its a picture heavy post and I am in a big mood to yack, I'm gonna break this down into two posts...

This cover page is my ultimate pride. I love how it has turned out.  Loads of Roses from spellbinder's dies, floral flourishes, cherry lynn flourish (man these are a pain to cut out...) and some laces and pearls. This album is a big size...10x12
There is a faint hint of a glitter border around the central picture. Done using double sided tape...A short recap of what I've done here using pie lane glitter.  Here I've used Martha Stewart coarse glitter. The background paper is from Papermania Confetti collection (same one I used for my Photo Flip book)

I got this gorgeous lace as a RAK ( you know who you are, Thanks soooo much Girlie) and could bear to use only this much. some adhesive pearls, and little poem written by the Mom completes the page. Of course I wouldn't be me without a butterfly somewhere!! :D

Most of the pages are the ones the Mom wanted and I built the book around her ideas. The page on left, is for the Ultrasound, and her baby bump. The Baby on Board was made using Cuttlebug  alpha dies.

The page on right is for her Baby shower pictures. The bottle and pins are something that was there in her baby shower..they were props and I made them with paper to mimic those. Also the lower page is a flip out page, which has space for 4 pics and a pocket for her guest list and Baby shower gifts.

Her Labor of Love. I belive she made her hubby take a pic before she was wheeled into the Delivery room..and she just wanted that memory too....the lower photo mat is for the picture of the hospital where the baby was born. Alphas are echo park stickers.

Welcoming the little one...the lower photo mat is a flip envelope page and a pocket behind it. The flip page hides the Baby Birth Details behind it.  The pocket holds a photomat for the baby's hand and foot print.

A page for the Baby's Birth Certificate and right- page for pics of mom and dad with the little one...the first pic as a family.

This page gave me the biggest trouble. I could not decide how I wanted to do it. This page was made 2 times!! Since she wanted to include photos of the baby with each of her first relatives...and waterfall seemed the best way to include many pictures in one page.
These two pages hold total of 12 pictures between  them. And I had played around with Shrink Plastic to create charms for the closure of the pages.

Here are what they look like....If you want a bit of more know how on these...let me know...will try to post a small topic of discussion on my blog.

This is how the pages open up and these are small tags for the family members to write their blessings for the little one....

That's it for today...will be back with some more pics tomorrow.

I would love to submit this for the Itsy Bitsy Pattern paper challenge ( I mean the whole book is filled with my most favorite pattern paper, Dhuh!!)

  4. Hi Tejal!!! Finally I was able to look at your project at ease... the rest of the occasions were hurried scrolls on my mobile. It's a remarkable project. I can recognize all the Nana's Nursery baby papers - they're so dreamy aren't they. Love love LOVE the baby on board embellishment. So clever! The waterfall too is awesome. Wanted to do that in my book too but I just didn't get down to it. Looking forward to the next installment. And this a totally fitting entry into the ITsyBitsy Challenge. All the very best!!
