A clear acrylic set up for SWAP

Well sorry for being MIA for a few days..been out of town and been suffering from PMS. yeah, it kills me, makes me a faucet, crying and hollering for no apparent reason, yelling at my folks at slightest provocation..wonder what my M-pause would be like!!! I need a cure for this emotional roller coaster ride..

I have had this clear set sitting with me for a very long time, and somehow I can't find anything that I can use this on..Maybe someone of you might be able to use it..so I'd love to swap this for any clear set that you've not used..UM or cling set if you've got..(to save shipping..lighter the better) I will ship World wide.

This SWAP is also posted on Julie's blog, Multi-coloured Swap Blog which is exclusively to swap any handmade items, ATCs, stamps.. hop on over to her blog to see if you can find something for yourself.

Drop me an email, or a comment telling me what kind of a set you can swap this with..and I'll put it right in the mail...

My First Scrapbook page

This is for my BFF. Her engagement photo
I did a lot of masking and distressing, but sans the distress inks. I used mostly watercolor tubes and used my stippling brushes to mask. I borrowed a lot of ideas from Irene at Scrapperlicious..She is so much the diva in distressing..and uses a lot of mixed media. I wanted to use flourishes and blah blah blah..but didn't have, so used what I had and I think for my first LO its ok. I think the rule is knowing when to stop.
here is the link to the masking tutorials that I used..and I sure as hell want those distress inks..

Tertiary masking

And one great thing...I got my stamps from Heart and soul rubber stamps..Sue sent them trimmed..saving me a lot of trouble and since I did not have EZ mount, or tacky glue, She even sent me a double sided tape to use with it..

Thank you Sue, you're a gem!

And the poem that runs alongside the photo reads
You were born
to be together &
together you shall
be for evermore.

Stand together
yet not too near together
for the pillars of temple
stand apart

Love one another
& let it rather
be a moving sea
between the shores
of your souls.

Sing & Dance
& be joyous.
But let each one
of you be alone.
Just as the strings of
Harp are alone though
the quiver with
the same music.

RAK received

I had signed up for Courteny's February RAK, and my partner was Taru from Finland. I just got her RAK and I'm on cloud 9.. I've got some beautiful stamped images from Magnolia...lol
I'd been wanting that for a long time..and now I have it..yay!

Would you look at the wonderful images she sent me!! Thanks Taru!!

I wish I had some more images so I could swap some images with friends. It feels a lil selfish to keep asking and not having any images to give out! Most of the stamps I have a small ones..well I'll see what I can do!

And oh yes! here's the card she sent me..I am so in love with this card! Do check out Taru's blog..I can't understand Finnish, but I love pouring over her cards and her pics!!!

And here is the card I sent Taru, I forgot to take a pic of the card when I made it..this card is a CASE of the card Monika sent me a while ago! I love Monika's card so much, I tried to make the same with what I had..the image of the house mouse was a PIF from Monika.

I had added ribbons and flowers and some stickers as extra! I do hope she liked it!

I'm joining in for March too! RAK' s are fun and who doesn't love fun mail.

P.s I'm the envy of my block of flats, since I'm the only one who gets so much international post, and that too stuffed with goodies!!! twisted

Card for Katharina's challenge

These days I'm into making cards for challenges. Well a good candy always inspires me lol..hehe

Here's the card...I turned the bear around and wanted him to shout yahoo! while doing a cartwheel..but nevertheless, he's still on his hands..and looks like almost doing a cartwheel..I love stamps where you can use them in different poses..

So, the card uses patterned paper from Papermania's collosal paper pack..which I won from jenny (Hi) and the sentiment is handwritten..don't have much of sentiments..not for long...I have a huge order coming from Hearts and soul rubber stamps...mostly sentiments..and for 1.50$ a stamp..I've got nothing to lose...

Why do I always get sidetracked..coz I'm a big chatterbox!!!

Ok end of the story..here's the card!

Sorry the image is not good, had to scan it, since my mom has my camera. I liked how the mound of grass turned out...I used a mask to stipple green ink onto it and using my black pen, drew random bits of grass. The clouds too were stippled using a reverse mask (the leftover paper, after cutting a scallop oval) and works good..

Katharina, here's the card for your challenge! hope you like it...

Pink card for Claudia and Bela's challenge!

ETA: I just hopped over to Bela's blog and saw that she had a challenge to make a card without using patterned paper..use your stamps to make a background..Well who knew how I make these things and works for a challenge!!
Plus, did you see Beate's tutorial..both of our cards have butterflies..her card is way too gorgeous..but it has a butterfly!!!

Anything to win a Magnolia stamp! Kidding...I just was in the valentine mood and wanted to make something pink since I have a milion things that are pink..my bedroom, bedsheets, slippers, you get the idea!!

This card is cased from a blog..I'm sorry I have no idea where..It was put up with a photo of blog candy! If this is your card, please let me know so I can give you the rightful due!

I created a background by stamping my tiny dragonfly stamp with pearl crimson ink, and using my shocking pink and soft pink to create a circle on which I mounted the butterfly. I rolled my silver gel pen for that shiny bling which has to be a part of my card!!

Without further ado, here's my card.. And Claudia I do love pink and I love that Magnolia stamp!!
I hope this qualifies for your challenge, Bela!

First Fell card!

Did I tell you that Monika sent me a few stamped images of Bella's? yup she did, and she also sent me fishafella images...
and now I proudly present my first fella card...and my first kickstand card..I think that' what they're called..

And the fish stamp is a stamp that Sari sent, all the way from Sweden...Thanks girl!
The sentiment is handwritten. The border doddled around ..
Watercolored with my Fabercastell pencils and aquapainter.
The happy birthday DP is another candy from Jenny Moors from UK..Thank you Jenny!

This is the best week...I've gotten so many gifts from all of my friends, I'm overwhelmed by their generosity.
Thank you all, my PSF (I don't know who coined that terms, but hey if the shoe fits...)

A really small card

I was in the mood of creating a Valentine's card and a really small one at that..
So I made this all from scraps...It was so much fun...took me 10 min flat to make..I love it..its so tiny and cute...And this is how tiny it is...next to my scotch tape..

The sentiment inside reads..."You light up my life"....corny isn't it?
But how fun!!

On my trip to LSS I thought I'd pick up something to send to my friends across the globe, and what do I find? they've got duck and penguin stamps, and butterflies..and my good intentions flow out the window...I grabbed 2 acrylic stamp sets and 2 wooden stamps..in addition to the 2 sets I just recieved from Heather Grow for winning her blog candy! one is a Hampton Art stamp and other a Heidi Grace clear stamp set! YAY..I'm spoiled ain't it?

here are the photos of some of the yummy stamps I got.. After putting them next to each other, I found something funny...the purple penguin (middle one) looks like he's making eyes at the lavender chick!!! hehe..

This is the birthday set and butterflies.. I am loving butterflies these days..This is the set I received from Heather...and tons of ribbons..I love all of them..thank you heather.
