CAS cards - Part 3

Finally here with my last 4 CAS cards from the CAS card swap at Swap Central.

This is perhaps my most favorite card, since I ended up CASEing myself. I made around 15 of these cards for Rakhi and to send to some special people!  ;)
The flower and sentiments are Papertrey ink. Colored with FC Bi colors, and the embossing folder is from Craft Concepts, which I picked from my local craft store!! (hehe!! S don't be jealous...you can come anytime to my LOCAL craft store!!)

I loved creating the background so much, that nothing I put in the front seemed okay. Its made from woodgrain paper cut and distressed and re-glued such that it looks like beams.
The banner and sentiment is Simon says stamp.
The butterfly- a cheery lynn die.

A very simple card...a faux polariod frame and a CASE of Nichole Heady's card using the same stamp. Stamps and sentiment are papertrey ink.

Love love love this die...my absolute CAS favorite. Pattern paper is from papermania-newsprint collection.
Sentiment and "Absolutely: Die is from Simon says stamp.
For such bold sentiments, I love using my Archival ink from Ranger. Crisp and bold as it should be!!

Coming soon... a video on Lindy stamp gang!!

CAS Cards Swap | Part 2

Hello...Today I'm sharing the next installment of my CAS cards from the Swap at Swap Central India.

This first one is a simple stamping!! This stamp was lying in my vault for the better part of 3 months! Finally had to ink it up and use it!
Hero arts Stamp, with an Itsy bitsy embossing folder in the BG. And some faux stitching.

And of course butterflies!!

This second card uses PTI stamp sets...Say it in Style (the thank you sentiment) and the flower and bottom sentiment are from Friend's til the end set.
Inks used are Memento inks.

This is another of my Pinterest inspired cards...I wanted some silver...since I had no silver...I went for pale grey...And those banner dies are awesome!! Really really love it!

So those are 3 more of my CAS card swap...Will share the last four soon!!
Have a great weekend everyone!

CAS Cards Part 1

Heylo! I'm here to share a few of the 10 cards I made for Swap Central's CAS Cards Swap. I'll be sharing just 2-3 cards everyday...so I can explain the process and make sure the post doesn't go way long! :)

This is a Pinterest inspired card...I had to think of 10 cards in 10 days, (since my swap partner was in India for just a few days!) and my brain never works  that fast...so I had to turn to Pinterest for base ideas...and that is where I found the butterfly in square idea.
Had a hard time executing it, simply coz my punch is no longer sharp...it drives me nuts to punch one butterfly!

This card uses - Couture Creations embossing folder, from the Serenity collection - Ambrosia..
Square Scalloped die from Couture Creations, and butterfly punch from MS.
Sentiment from PTI.
The scalloped squares are mounted on foam pop up dots for dimension.

This is Card 2 with Pattern paper use!

A very simple card, from one of the techniques taught in Pattern Play class. The PP is Basic Grey figgy pudding...and the flower is Rose creations die.
Some glitter and some pearls in the center.
The banner die and the sentiment on it are from the Tilted Banner die and greeting set from Simon says stamp. (Creativita Store)

Card 3 uses two of the stamp sets I wanted for a very long time...The musical background and the Delicate Blossoms. (Both from Crafter's Corner)

I've loved this set ever since I saw it....and finally after waiting for eons, bought it. But got to use it only after 2 months....And I've colored this using my Faber Castell Bi-colors with the technique I show in this video.
There isn't much to share about this card...its just simple stamping, and oh yes, the blooms are pieced.

I colored them again separately on another CS and then cut and pasted them on this card.

And just a little bit of glitter for the centre of the flowers.

Do let me know if there is any info you need...if not, just say hello in the comments! :)
See you soon with another set of CAS Cards.

Scrappy Swap....

Thank you all for a wonderful response to the Lulupu team. Hoping to show you more tutorials in the future...if you have anything special you want me to share do leave it in the comments and will try to come up with it...just don't ask me to talk on the video...not yet...saving money to buy a flip cam!

Just here to share news of  tiny swap that I, Saumya and Khushboo came up with while bugging each other on BBM...for those who don't know...its a blackberry messenger...we chat all day..bug each other all night, and its fun...who says you make friends only in person...we have school friends, college friends, facebook friends, if you're in mumbai, you have train friends (whom you meet everyday on your regular route to work on trains) and now we have BBM friends.

(pic courtesy )- This is a random search from google..not my own pic.

Both of us, me and Saumya are paper hoarders..me more than her...we hoard our scraps too...and suddenly we said how about you send me your scraps and I'll send you mine!! And thus the idea was born....we decided to invite anyone who was interested in sending across their scraps to us and take some from us!! :)

For the full list of rules and requirements, hop over to Saumya's blog..

Notecards and Tags

This is long overdue post...I had to wait till all my swap partners received their swaps so that I could post my creations. It was a fun time to make all those itty bitty cards and tags...
I divided my 3 sets of note cards into 3 categories (yeah! that's the crazy me)..stamping, cuttlebugged cards and only DP cards. here they are...

The cards with only cuttlebug elements...

The frame was cut with Lacey square dies, the white mat with Label one dies and embossed with swiss dots, and the butterfly cut and embossed with the Tag team butterfly die cut...some gems for sparkle!

The heart is cut from red corrugagted paper, the wings traced and cut from Maya road chipboard and some glitter for simple bling.

The flowers and leaves are cut from Daisy head dies and sponged with light coating of Vintage photo distress inks to let the embossing shine.

On to the STAMPING only cards..

I cut clouds with PTI cloud dies and used them as masks and sponged broken china and tumbled glass to create a sky. Stamped the birds and branch from Hero arts set and paper pieced the birds. Sentiment is masked from another Hero arts set.

Simple distressing and blending with broken china and shabby shutters and stamped on the garden bouquet silhouette stamp with memento black.

Stamped butterfly from Antique engravings and colored with Pearlescent watercolors.

The cards using only pattern papers... no stamping...

These use the Echo park Little girl line and walk in the park...don't remember which is which though...

 Tags :

 I loved creating my tags...
Loved the whole process of distressing, blending, and then inking with the background stamps...
The butterflies are colored straight with the blending foam and distress inks..and used the Quicke glue pen to add just dashes of glitter....
All tied and ready to go.....I know this was a photo heavy post...but thanks for sticking till the end....

I hope those who got my swaps liked them. And if you'd like to see the swaps that I received, I've already posted them here...

That's it for today...see you soon with some super fun cards...

Thanks to Asha, we finally had one of the sweetest swaps ever in India. The "Secret Sweetheart" swap. My Secret Sweetheart was Shalini. She is one who got the card with which I've been teasing you for the past few days...Now that she got it and posted it on her blog,  I can post that card here. I wanted her to post it first.

Girlie, I could hear your squeal all the way to Ahmedabad. So glad you liked it..

This card is a CASE of Heather's card..I had saved the templates from Hero arts blog last year..and had been itching to try this card..with no butterfly punch around..cutting 50 butterflies..no way!! Now that I have punch, I'm pleased as a punch (pun intended) to make this card..

I'm submitting this card for Crafty JC's Hearts and hugs
And to the Lawnscaping Challenge - All about love.. (I don't own any Lawn fawn, but boy my wish list for their stamps is pretty long)

A clear acrylic set up for SWAP

Well sorry for being MIA for a few days..been out of town and been suffering from PMS. yeah, it kills me, makes me a faucet, crying and hollering for no apparent reason, yelling at my folks at slightest provocation..wonder what my M-pause would be like!!! I need a cure for this emotional roller coaster ride..

I have had this clear set sitting with me for a very long time, and somehow I can't find anything that I can use this on..Maybe someone of you might be able to use it..so I'd love to swap this for any clear set that you've not used..UM or cling set if you've got..(to save shipping..lighter the better) I will ship World wide.

Drop me an email, or a comment telling me what kind of a set you can swap this with..and I'll put it right in the mail...
